BuildIQ is a construction project management application that helps users organize home construction projects, budgets, documents, photos, tasks, progress, and related information. By accessing or using BuildIQ, including the mobile application and the website at mybuildiq.com, you agree to these Terms of Service.

By using BuildIQ, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating or using your account
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Use the service only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to access, modify, or interfere with other users' data or the BuildIQ system
• Not upload illegal, harmful, infringing, or unauthorized content
• Ensure that you have the right to upload any documents, photos, contacts, or other content you add to the app
• Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization

You retain ownership of the content and data you upload or create in BuildIQ, including project data, photos, documents, receipts, notes, tasks, contacts, and journal entries. By using the service, you grant BuildIQ a limited license to store, process, display, and transmit this content only as needed to provide the service to you. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and reliability of the content you provide.

BuildIQ may include AI-powered features, including AI Buddy. AI Buddy is designed to provide helpful information and project organization support.

• AI-generated responses are for informational purposes only
• AI Buddy does not replace professional legal, financial, construction, engineering, safety, or technical advice
• AI responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific situation
• You are responsible for verifying important information before making decisions

You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for construction, safety, legal, financial, contractual, or investment decisions.

BuildIQ may provide tools for budgets, tasks, project progress, reminders, weather information, and construction-related organization. These features are provided for planning and convenience only. We do not guarantee that budgets, cost estimates, schedules, reminders, weather data, or project progress information will be accurate, complete, or suitable for every project. You remain responsible for final construction decisions, contractor coordination, technical verification, legal compliance, and financial planning.

Subscriptions or in-app purchases may be introduced or enabled in future versions. If subscriptions are enabled, payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling may be managed by the relevant app store or payment provider. Availability, pricing, and included features may change over time. Any active purchase terms shown in the app store or payment provider interface will apply to that purchase.

We strive to keep BuildIQ available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, third-party service outages, or circumstances beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of the service where necessary, with reasonable notice where possible.

BuildIQ is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. BuildIQ is not responsible for construction defects, contractor performance, project delays, budget overruns, incorrect user-entered data, AI-generated errors, weather inaccuracies, or decisions made based on information shown in the app. We strongly recommend maintaining your own backups of important project documents and data.

You can initiate account deletion directly in the BuildIQ app from account/settings. Deletion may remove your account, profile, project data, and user-generated content such as photos, documents, receipts, notes, tasks, contacts, and journal entries. Some records may be retained where required by law, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate operational obligations. We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of BuildIQ after changes become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
