Privacy Policy

BuildIQ provides a mobile and web service for managing home-building projects, budgets, documents and progress. This policy explains what data may be processed, why it is used and what rights may apply.

Depending on the features you use, this may include:

• account and authentication data
• profile details such as name, phone and settings
• project, budget, date, stage and progress data
• expenses, receipts, photos, documents, tasks, contacts and journal entries
• AI messages and selected project context needed to generate a response
• technical data such as device information, app version, installation ID, push token and network information

Data is used to operate and secure the service, authenticate users, store project information, provide AI features, send relevant notifications and improve stability and functionality.

BuildIQ may use Supabase for authentication and storage, OpenAI for AI responses, Expo for notifications, Open-Meteo for weather data and RevenueCat for subscription and purchase status.

Messages sent to AI features and relevant project context may be processed to generate responses. AI responses can contain errors and do not replace professional advice.

We use technical and organizational safeguards. Data is retained as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal and security obligations.

Account deletion can be initiated in BuildIQ settings. Account and related data are removed where possible and permitted, except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and, in some cases, restrict or object to processing.
